Las problemáticas socioterritoriales dentro del municipio mexicano han generado acciones ciudadanas que defienden sus intereses sobre las tierras que poseen y demandan mejores oportunidades de desarrollo local a través de la creación de un nuevo municipio. En este contexto, los actores sociales no solo demuestran una activa participación en el movimiento municipalista, también constituyen nociones identitarias que se articulan a partir del lugar donde se vive y desde las prácticas que surgen a raíz de la disputa por el territorio. En ese sentido, el objetivo de esta tesis es analizar la conformación de identidad socioterritorial de los actores sociales del movimiento municipalista de Playas de Rosarito a través del conflicto y su acción ciudadana. La metodología que se emplea sigue una ruta cualitativa, utilizando el método biográfico en seis actores clave que integran actualmente el Comité Pro Municipio (CPM). Los principales hallazgos revelan que la identidad socioterritorial de estos actores se constituyó a partir de la formación de sus sentidos del arraigo que surgen por las experiencias de asentamiento y permanencia en la entonces delegación Rosarito y a través de la pertenencia al colectivo pro-municipalista. Dichas nociones identitarias se revelaron en las prácticas de movilización y en la apropiación del territorio en su dimensión simbólica y material, estableciendo una estrecha relación entre las percepciones y afectos del espacio habitado con las dinámicas de acción ciudadana del CPM.
The socio-territorial problems within the mexican municipality have generated citizen actions that defend their interests over the lands they own and demand better opportunities for local development through the creation of a new municipality. In this context, the social actors not only demonstrate an active participation in the municipalist movement, they also constitute identity notions that are articulated from the place where they live and from the practices that arise as a result of the dispute over the territory. The objective of this thesis is to analyze the conformation of socio-territorial identity of the social actors of the municipalist movement of Playas de Rosarito through the conflict and its citizen action. The methodology that is used follows a qualitative route using the biographical method in six key actors that are currently involved in the Committee For the Municipality (CFM). The main findings reveal that the socio-territorial identity of these actors was constituted from the formation of their sense of rootedness through their experiences of settlement and permanence in Rosarito and through belonging to the pro-municipalist collective. These identity notions were revealed in the mobilization practices and in the appropriation of the territory in its symbolic and material dimension, establishing a close relationship between the perceptions and affections of the habited space with the dynamics of citizen action of the CFM.
