La presente investigación tiene por objetivo central conocer el proceso de construcción de ensamblajes de universos simbólicos por parte del sujeto creyente, guiado por las trayectorias de búsqueda espiritual y las diversas prácticas de sanación que derivan del universo perteneciente a los circuitos de sanación alternativa o New Age. El estudio se interesa por el vínculo entre las nuevas formas de creer y practicar en la ciudad de Tijuana y la relación que establecen a partir del cuerpo, dentro del proceso de ensamblaje realizado por el sujeto creyente. Estos ensamblajes satisfacen necesidades reales de la vida del sujeto, en específico en el área de la salud, y se reflejan en prácticas terapéuticas de medicina alternativa. Los ensamblajes realizados por el sujeto creyente cuentan con un componente simbólico-emotivo donde lo corpóreo cumple un papel primordial en el ejercicio espiritual, ya que es en la experiencia corporal donde se legitima la acción y efectividad del ensamblaje realizado por el sujeto. Para ello el trabajo de campo se centró en identificar la oferta terapéutica holística de la región con el objetivo de crear una tipología que pudiese determinar las diversas opciones que se presentan a los sujetos creyentes y que les permiten realizar sus ensamblajes correspondientes en la búsqueda de la sanación y mantenimiento de la salud. La investigación se realizó en un contexto fronterizo donde el flujo de símbolos y creencias es intenso, y que se inserta en una dinámica social caracterizada por una mutación constante de creencias, promoviendo una fluidez y permeabilidad de esquemas espirituales y religiosos.
The main objective of this research is to know the process of construction of assemblages of symbolic universes by the believer, guided by the trajectories of spiritual search and the various healing practices that derive from the universe belonging to the circuits of alternative healing or New Age. The study is interested in the link between the new ways of believing and practicing in the city of Tijuana and the relationship they establish from the body, within the assembly process carried out by the believer. These assemblies meet real needs of the subject's life, specifically in the area of health, and are reflected in therapeutic alternative medicine practices. The assemblages made by the believer have a symbolic-emotive component where the corporeal fulfills a primordial role in the spiritual exercise, since it is in the corporal experience where the action and effectiveness of the assembly carried out by the subject is legitimized. To this end, the fieldwork was focused on identifying the holistic therapeutic offer of the region with the aim of creating a typology that could determine the various options that are presented to the believers and that allows them to make their corresponding assemblages in the search for healing and maintenance of health. The research was conducted in a border context where the flow of symbols and beliefs is intense, and which is inserted in a social dynamic characterized by a constant mutation of beliefs, promoting a fluidity and permeability of spiritual and religious schemes.
