Abstract:

This research work aims to know how they influence the socio demographic characteristics, ideological-political and of the place of residence of the mexicans in their attitude toward the central american migration of transit by Mexico through the analysis of the Survey Mexico, las Américas y el Mundo. Presents the social context of the migratory phenomenon of Central American origin of transit through the country, the explanatory models to study the formation of attitudes toward immigration, as well as the results of similar research. Similarly, it show some demographic characteristics of the population surveyed, it explores the bivariate relationship between the attitude variable toward migration in transit and the set of explanatory variables included in the theoretical models. Finally we analyze the empirical results obtained from the estimate made with the statistical tool of logistic regression for each of the explanatory models. The results indicate that the characteristics that lead to an unfavorable attitude toward the central american migration of transit by Mexico are be male and take residence in a municipality of transit of migrants.
