The U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement will go into effect on May 15, clearing the way for increased trade between the two countries. During the April 14-15 Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, President Obama spoke of the \u201cstrategic alliance\u201d between the two countries as Colombia\u2019s consumer market rapidly expands and the country undertakes new infrastructure projects.
