<\/em>Marco Fern\u00e1ndez is a USMEX Visiting Fellow and a PhD candidate in Political Science at Duke University.
\nHe studied his BA in Political Science at ITAM in Mexico City. Before going to graduate school, he worked in the Mexican Senate and in Congress as an advisor. In 2007 he worked in the Public Policy Analysis Unit at the Mexican Presidency.<\/p>\n

The Day of the Dead (El D\u00eda de los Muertos or All Souls’ Day) is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and Latin America. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.<\/p>\n
