{"id":3898,"date":"2011-01-24T11:49:10","date_gmt":"2011-01-24T18:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www2.colef.mx\/elmuro\/?p=3898"},"modified":"2011-01-24T11:49:10","modified_gmt":"2011-01-24T18:49:10","slug":"china-latin-america-and-us-nuevo-reporte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colef.mx\/elmuro\/china-latin-america-and-us-nuevo-reporte\/","title":{"rendered":"China, Latin America and US \/ Nuevo Reporte"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span> L<\/span><span>A JOLLA \u2014 The<a title=\"http:\/\/www.iamericas.org\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iamericas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Institute of the Americas<\/a> is  pleased to present a report titled,\u201cChina, Latin America and the United <\/span><span>States:  The New Triangle,\u201d which it produced in cooperation with the <a title=\"http:\/\/www.wilsoncenter.org\/index.cfm?fuseaction=topics.home&amp;topic_id=1425\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wilsoncenter.org\/index.cfm?fuseaction=topics.home&amp;topic_id=1425\" target=\"_blank\">Latin American Program of the Woodrow Wilson International Center  for Scholars<\/a> and the <a title=\"http:\/\/ilas.cass.cn\/ens\/\" href=\"http:\/\/ilas.cass.cn\/ens\/\" target=\"_blank\">Institute for Latin American  Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences of Beijing<\/a>. The report,  released during Chinese President Hu Jintao\u2019s offici<\/span><span>al state visit to the United  States, explores the impact of China\u2019s growth on Latin America, the degree of  partnership or competition with China, and the benefits as well as the  disadvantages of greater economic engagement between China and countries of the  Western Hemisphere. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span>The rise of China as a dominant economic power in the last  decade represents one of the most significant changes in the international  system since the end of the Cold War and one of the most rapid transformations  the world has experienced. This in-depth report explores the profound impact of  China\u2019s economic growth on the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
