<\/strong>
\nErica Wortham is a Visiting Scholar at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies.\u00a0 She earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from New York University in 2002.\u00a0 Ms. Wortham has worked as a media programmer for the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution, and taught courses in the Anthropology department at UC San Diego.\u00a0 Her area of expertise lies in the fields of culture and media, indigenous-state relations, with a special interest in indigenous media in Mexico and Latin America.\u00a0 Erica’s current project is a book manuscript titled \u00abMaking Culture Visible: Indigenous Media in Mexico\u00bb that revisits the initiatives of her dissertation written during her previous fellowship at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies.<\/div>\n
