The Center on Pacific Economies will present a public lecture featuring Pacific Leadership Fellow Kevin Casas-Zamora.

Kevin Casas-Zamora will speak on the realities and misperceptions of the war on drugs in Mexico and Central America.<\/p>\n

Casas-Zamora is the former vice president of Costa Rica, where he has also served as minister of national planning and economic policy. He is currently a senior fellow in Foreign Policy and in the Latin America Initiative at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Casas-Zamora holds a JD from the University of Costa Rica, an MA from the University of Essex, and a DPhil from the University of Oxford. His research focuses on political finance, elections, citizen security, and civil-military relations in Latin America.<\/span>
