\"International<\/a><\/p>\n

The Institute of the Americas<\/a> will be the site of a three-day conference on social innovation offered by the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean<\/a>, or CEPAL<\/em>. \u00a0During the Nov. 17-19 conference, 25 winning projects on \u201cExperiences in Social Innovation\u201d will be presented by a judging panel from CEPAL<\/em> and the Kellogg Foundation.<\/p>\n

Each of these projects has contributed to the alleviation of poverty, inequality and social exclusion in their community and share the common goal of social innovation, active citizen participation and reasonable cost.<\/p>\n
