We need your help to keep up the fight.<br><br>Who We Are:<br><br><\/strong>Unidos is the first network from the deportee-returnee community now living in Mexico working together in solidarity across the country in order to help support the well-being and reintegration of our transnational brothers and sisters arriving from the United States. We are located in\u00a0<strong>Mexico City,<\/strong>\u00a0in the collective Deportados Unidos en la Lucha, and in\u00a0<strong>Tijuana<\/strong>\u00a0in the organizations of Puente TJ United, Dreamers Moms, and the Borderline Crisis Center.<strong><br><br>Why this Campaign:<br><br><\/strong>This is our first joint effort to come together as a response to the emergency we are facing under the COVID-19 pandemic. We are asking for support for a community emergency fund to support returned and deported community members who are a part of one of our collectives.\u00a0\u00a0With this money, we will support people being returned to Mexico with the following needs:<br><br>a) Food and supplies<br>b) Living expenses, including keeping the lights on, paying water and gas and helping support rent as needed.<br>c) Medical expenses for testing, urgent care, and possible hospitalization<strong><br><br>Each donation can help with the following:<br><br>$5\u00a0<\/strong>will provide one meal for one person<strong><br>$25\u00a0<\/strong>will provide for the groceries for one person for a full week<strong><br>$35<\/strong>\u00a0will support a person with one medical appointment<strong><br>$50\u00a0<\/strong>will support a person with living expenses for one month<strong><br><br>*Each donation of $50 or more automatically includes a gift of thanks consisting of a bag made by Deportados Brand and a note of appreciation by each group.<br><br><\/strong>Our groups came together to help others like us, facing an unknown future in practically a new country. Life goes on after deportation, but under the threat of COVID-19, we are facing new challenges of basic survival.
