\nDr. D\u00edaz-Cayeros is an associate professor at UC San Diego School of International Relations and Pacific Studies and director of Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies (USMEX). Previously, he was an assistant professor at Stanford University. In 1997, Professor D\u00edaz-Cayeros received his Ph.D. in
\npolitical science from Duke University. His research interests include poverty, development, federalism, clientelism, and patronage. He is cur-rently working on a book manuscript entitled Strategies of Vote Buying: So-cial Transfers, Democracy and Welfare in Mexico.

\nInvited Speaker -world renowned forensic anthropologist, Clyde Snow, will be speaking on his human rights work in Argentina and Guatemala, and the formation of forensic teams whose reputations extend beyond Latin America, with deployments to crises through out the world. A pioneer in his field, he has trained and supported a generation directly influencing the forensic protocols used in crime scene analysis and human rights work today. Included among his many projects are the identification of WWII criminal Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele, John F. Kennedy, victims of serial killer, John Wayne Gacey, King Tutankhamun, and the Oklahoma City Bombing.
