Marchi<br \/>\n<!--more-->Love Library #430<br \/>\nFriday, October 30<br \/>\n12 &#8211; 1 p.m.<br \/>\nRegina Marchi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism &amp; Media Studies at Rutgers University. She holds a Ph. D. in Communication from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.A. in English Literature from San Francisco State University.<br \/>\nThis special event is being held in conjunction with the annual installation of the Day of the Dead altar that will take place in the Chicano Collection immediately after the book presentation. Visitors are encouraged to leave personal objects at altar in memory of loved ones. Traditional refreshments, including Mexican hot chocolate and pan dulce will be served. The altar will be disassembled on Wednesday, November 4th. This interdisciplinary conference aims to promote undergraduate research focused on Latin America.<br \/>\nAll topics pertaining to Latin America are welcome. The presentations should be 15 minutes in length. We encourage proposals of panels and invite faculty members to serve as panel chairs and discussants. Papers in English, Spanish and Portuguese will be considered.<br \/>\nRegistration: All participants have to register for the conference.
