The timeless camp of \u00abReefer Madness\u00bb is balanced by genuine mystery and absorbing drama in \u00abEl Pu\u00f1o de Hierro\u00bb (\u00abThe Iron Fist\u00bb),\u00a0director Gabriel Garc\u00eda Moreno’s 1927 tale of a young couple locked into a damning world of vice. Introduced to the euphoric effects of morphine by a mysterious doctor, the couple soon becomes involved in a malevolent kidnapping plot while navigating a dark underworld of drug dens and forbidden pleasures. In this version of the film, Tijuana-based electronica specialists Nortec Collective retool the soundtrack by blending traditional Mexican music with contemporary beats. There will be an after party held at The Loft.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
