Héctor Tajonar is a Visiting Scholar at the Center for U.S.-Mexican  Studies. Héctor studied Communications at the Universidad Iberoamericana,  received his Masters in Politics from the University of Oxford and has written,  directed and produced dozens of documentaries focused on art and culture, some  of which have been awarded in Mexico and Europe. He has been Director of  Cultural Proyects in Televisa, consultant at The Getty Conservation Institute,  National Coordinator of Audiovisual Media at the Mexican Ministry of Culture,  professor at the National University of Mexico (UNAM), curator at the Mexican  National Museum of Art (MUNAL), and is the editor and co-author of numerous art  publications. He is also a political analyst and writes a weekly column in the  Mexican newspaper Milenio.
