The Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, in conjunction with the Center on Pacific Economies, will  welcome Dr. Miguel Székely Pardo of Mexico for a public lecture and one-week  residency.
As the former Undersecretary for Planning and  Evaluation at the Ministry of Social Development in Mexico, as well as a former  Undersecretary of Education, 
Miguel Székely Pardo has firsthand experience with  the social structure of Mexico. He will draw on his expertise in development  economics and research on poverty, inequality, and savings distribution in  Mexico as he examines social mobility in this public lecture.
